Multiple Long Term Positions
Armm, Davao, Northern Mindanao, Soccsksargen, Zamboanga
Responsibilities:
  • Deputy Chief of Party: advanced degree; minimum seven years international donor-project experience; technical expertise in local governance and civil society strengthening, and conflict resolution.
  • Organizational Capacity Specialist: minimum five years experience working with civil society organizations to strengthen institutional capacity; ability to develop institution strengthening plans and facilitate trainings with government and civil society stakeholders.
  • Public Outreach and Communications Specialist: minimum five years experience working with government counterparts to develop communication strategies; proven experience implementing effective awareness and outreach plans; USAID experience preferred.
  • Engineer: advanced degree in engineering; minimum five years experience working on water, road or other infrastructure projects; proven experience planning, designing, implementing and evaluating engineering/infrastructure projects.
  • Civil Society Liaison: minimum eight years experience working with civil society organization and networks supporting civic education campaigns, alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, and public outreach campaigns.
  • Youth Engagement Advisor: minimum five years of experience developing youth engagement strategies in conflict-settings; experience designing and implementing civic education programs.
  • Operations & Finance Specialist: minimum five years managing USAID or funded donor-funded projects; experience managing procurement, grants, and subcontracts required.
  • Training specialist: five years of experience designing, facilitating, and evaluating capacity building workshops.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation Director: minimum eight years designing USAID M&E plans; demonstrated ability to lead M&E team in PMP development, data collection, analysis, and reporting; experience working in conflict settings required.
  • ICT Specialist: Computer science degree preferred. Minimum three years of experience working with government or civil society counterparts to implement e-government platforms and/or develop digital media content; experience leading trainings on adopting new ICTs in organizational processes preferred.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, advanced degree preferred (required for DCOP)
  • Experience working on USAID or other donor-funded projects
  • Experience in and knowledge of Mindanao, or similar conflict-affected environment
  • Willingness to work and travel throughout Mindanao required
  • Fluency in English required; knowledge of Tagalog, Visayan, Chabocano, Tausug, Bahasa Sama, or other local dialects preferred.

Business Development Manager (Mindanao)

Responsibilities:
  • Takes lead in formulating new business development (NBD) tactical and execution plan
  • Takes lead in periodic update to Immediate/Group Head and Mancom
  • Develops competitive bid/proposal strategies and consortium for identified opportunities
  • To be assigned on the ground and manages the NBD office on-site
  • Manages the preparation of all necessary bid/proposal documentation, in accordance with NBD standards, and ensure that all bids/proposals are competitive and meet the required return and risk criteria
  • Prepares development cost budgets and deliver the bids/proposals within the approved budgets
  • Ensures timely preparation of reporting and approval papers necessary for project development

  • Identifies resource requirements, prepare sourcing plans for identified opportunities and assists in procuring all necessary resources

Requirements:

  • Graduate of any Business or Engineering course
  • With at least 5 years experience in sales, relationship management, networking and project management
  • With strong leadership skills
  • With excellent and strong contract management, relationship management and leadership skills
  • With strong business sense, good communicator, innovative, results-oriented and people person
  • Preferably can speak Cebuano, Bisaya or Chavacano
